To guide a child on their way,
In wisdom’s light, let them stay.
With lessons imparted,
Their hearts will be charted,
And truth they’ll embrace every day.

There once was a house built with care
Where wisdom and understanding were there
A feast was prepared
For all who dared
To come and partake and be aware

In the beginning, wisdom was there
Before the earth and the sea and the air
She was with God from the start
Playing a crucial part
In creating all things with great care

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all of life’s paths be wise,
For He will direct your eyes.
His love and faithfulness never ending.

There once was a man from the east,
Who always followed the priest
He lived by the words
Of wisdom he heard
From Proverbs that never did cease
