Philippians 4.14-23
There once was a man from afar
Who received gifts from friends, near and far
He thanked them with joy
For their generous ploy
And knew God would supply every jar. -
Philippians 4.1-9
Though trials may come to test the soul,
Let joy be ever in your goal.
Be gentle, kind and of good cheer,
Be thankful in all things you hear.
For God is near and will provide,
His peace surpasses all beside. -
Philippians 3.4
Though I was born a Jew,
My faith in Jesus grew,
I press on to the goal,
That I may gain control,
Of the prize that Christ will due. -

I once heard of a contented life
That brought joy and peace in the strife
It’s not found in things
But in what God brings
The secret to living is Christ -
