Mark 11.1-11
Jesus rode into town with great fame
The people all shouted His name
They laid down their clothes
And palm branches, it shows
Their love for the Savior proclaimed -
Mark 15.1-39
There once was a man on a cross
Who suffered great pain and great loss
He cried out in despair
As the people stood there
But his death would not be the last toss -
Mark 10.46-52
There once was a man who was blind
But Jesus, he soon would find
He called out for mercy
And his sight was made worthy
Now he could see and was no longer confined -

There once were disciples so bold
Who asked for positions to hold
But Jesus then said
To serve, not be led
For greatness comes from being sold -

There once were disciples who knew
That Jesus had a tough road to pursue
He’d be mocked and betrayed
Then crucified, it’s said
But on the third day, he’d rise anew -

There once was a rich man from Galilee
Who asked Jesus, “What must I do to be free?”
He was told to give all his wealth away
And follow the Lord without delay
For it’s easier for a camel through a needle to flee -

There once was a man who did say
“Let the children come to me, don’t turn away”
For the kingdom of God
Belongs to those who are flawed
So let them in, and let them stay -

There once were disciples so keen
Arguing over who was supreme
But Jesus explained
The greatest is trained
To serve others, not to be seen -
Mark 8.31-end
There once was a man who foretold
Of his suffering, death and behold
He would rise up again
To save all of us then
His love and grace never grows old -
Mark 8.27-38
There once was a man from Galilee
Who asked his disciples, “Who do people say I be?”
They replied with some views
But he said, “I’m the good news
And to follow me, you must take up your cross willingly.”
