Exodus 14.5-20
When Pharaoh’s heart hardened with dread,
He chased the bold people who fled.
But the sea split in two,
With a path shining through,
As they walked on dry ground ahead. -
Exodus 16.2-4,9-15
The Israelites complained in the desert,
Their hunger was causing them hurt.
But God sent them manna,
A miraculous banner,
To show His love and never desert. -

God gave us commandments to heed
On stone tablets they were decreed
No other gods, no stealing or lying
Honoring parents and not coveting
These laws are what we must take heed -

There once was a man named Moses
Who tried to keep God’s laws close
But the people of Israel

So an idol of gold they chose -

The Lord did call to Moses’ side
And said, “Your people I will guide
Come up to me on high
Where I will tell you why
